Gum Arabic (aka Acacia Gum)

Country of Origin:  Western to Eastern Africa
Form/size: Natural pieces, spray-dried powder, and ground (powder)

Natural gum made from the hardened sap of the acacia tree.  Used as a stabilizer in foods and in various uses and forms in printing and painting (e.g. as a binder in paints).  Orange gold in color; transluscent.
